Terms of service
About these terms
These terms cover your use of billsera.ca and the services of Billsera (181 Mill Street, Toronto, Ontario). By using the site or booking our services, you agree to them.
When you buy a service, we confirm the package, the price and the scope in an engagement letter that you sign electronically. If the engagement letter and these terms disagree, the engagement letter wins.
What we do
We set up and run businesses: incorporation and business registration, tax accounts, preparing bank and payment-account applications, a website, and, on monthly plans, bookkeeping and filings. Year-end work is done with our partner CPA.
We are not a law firm, and we don't give immigration advice. When your situation needs a lawyer, an immigration consultant (RCIC) or an accountant's opinion, we'll tell you and refer you.
Verification
Before we file anything, we verify your identity, who owns and controls the company, and where the funds come from, and we screen owners against sanctions lists.
We can decline or stop work if we can't complete verification, if the information you give us turns out to be false, or if the business is one we don't take on (for example crypto exchanges, gambling or adult businesses).
Your part
- Give us complete, accurate information and documents, and tell us when something changes.
- Reply to our questions, and sign the documents we send, in good time. Our delivery times depend on it.
- Decide what's right for your business. After handover, keeping the business compliant is your responsibility, except for the work your monthly or yearly plan covers.
Decisions made by others
Governments, banks and payment providers like Stripe or Shopify make their own decisions. We prepare complete, consistent applications, but we can't guarantee an approval or how long they take.
Our delivery times are in business days, counted from when your verification is done and we have everything we need from you.
Prices and payment
Prices are fixed and agreed before work starts. Canadian prices are in Canadian dollars, plus HST. Government fees are passed on at cost.
One-time packages are paid in full before work starts. Monthly and yearly plans are billed in advance at the start of each period. Canada Operate has a 12-month minimum term.
Cancellations and refunds follow our Refund policy.
Confidentiality
We keep your information confidential. We never name you or your business publicly, for example as a case study or client logo, without your written consent. How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy policy.
Using this site
Information on this site is general and isn't legal, tax or immigration advice. Don't misuse our forms: no false information, no automated submissions, and no attempts to get around our security checks.
Liability
We're responsible for doing our work with reasonable care and skill. We aren't responsible for decisions made by governments, banks or payment providers, or for losses caused by information that was missing or wrong when you gave it to us.
Our total liability for any service is limited to the fees you paid us for that service, except where the law doesn't allow a limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. The version posted here, with its date, applies from then on. Last updated: October 17, 2026. Questions: hello@billsera.ca.
